Ahead of the 2015 AfricaCom, Mobile equipment maker Ericsson, has
said that it will demonstrate its commitment to enabling innovators in
the Networked Society, as well as the impact its latest technologies and
services could have in unlocking new business opportunities for its
customers, businesses and society in general.
AfricaCom, the continent’s premier ICT conference will begin next week at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), Cape Town, South Africa.
At the conference, Ericsson said that it will showcase the Ericsson Wallet Platform, a standalone software solution that enables secure and convenient services such as payments and transferring money, in-store purchases, paying bills, salary payments, and more.
Similarly, Ericsson disclosed that it will be unveiling an online video service’ solution that will transform the way individuals view television and video content in the region.
At the event, Fredrik Jejdling, Head of Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa, will deliver a keynote presentation.
Beyond meeting the people shaping the new connected African experience through innovation, visitors to the Ericsson AHUB will also engage with Ericsson experts who will demonstrate a range of innovative solutions that are designed to enable change-makers in areas such as mobility, broadband and the cloud, creating the foundation for new eco-systems, and transformation across industries such as transportation, education and even entertainment as they explore demos showcasing the following:
