There was wide jubilation in Jalingo Taraba state capital as The
Governorship Election Tribunal seating in Abuja sacked the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) governor of the state Mr Darius Ishaku.
Although the state police command had earlier deployed high number of policemen in the state to calm any attempt by anybody to use the judgment to course trouble.
Some suspected members of APC took to the streets of Agwan Gaadi, Barde way, Wuro-Sambo and Angwani all in Jalingo in celebration the Tribunal’s judgment which was in favour of the APC gubernatorial candidate Aisha Arhasan.
A staunch member of APC and former chairman of PDP in Taraba state Dr. Abdumumuni Vaki told Vanguard on phone that the judgment was an act of democracy in action.
