Live blog: We're live at Samsung's Galaxy S7 launch event

Live blog: We're live at Samsung's Galaxy S7 launch event

At MWC later today, Samsung is expected to officially announce the much-rumoured Galaxy S7, its new flagship handset for 2016 - and we'll be there to bring you the news as it breaks.

The new handset is expected to build on the S6, also coming in both "flat" and Edge variants. Design-wise, we're not expecting anything too revolutionary.

In fact, it seems we know as good as everything already, if all the recent leaks are to go by. We recently revealed that the Galaxy S7 will go on sale March 11, an it looks like we might have an idea of how much it's going to cost.

Other hardware rumours have variously suggested that the new phone will be waterproof, make the switch to USB-C (both likely, we reckon) and it'll be interesting to see if Samsung has managed to add ForceTouch to keep pace with Apple.

It's also expected that Samsung will launch an Edge+, but not in the UK. Techradar also revealed that the S7 Edge+ will skip the UK, making way for a return of the Note series with the Note 6 in August.

All will be revealed at 7pm in Barcelona (6pm GMT, 1pm EST, 3pm PST), at which point this page will magically transform into our live blog. So make sure you keep it bookmarked, and come back when it's time for the fun to start.
