The Galaxy S7 is expected to be announced on February 21 at an MWC event held by Samsung – but it seems we may have seen almost everything already. Another leak has just added to that.
According to a source known to Android Authority, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow software, a 2800mAh battery and microSD support.
The source suggests that USB-C won't be used on the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 Edge either. We'd expect both phones to use microUSB still instead if that's the case.
There's also more evidence that the phone will be waterproof – but it's not certain whether it'll be IP68 or IP67 rated yet.
As for the camera, the source believes it to be a 12MP sensor, which is something we've heard before. Prior leaks have also suggested that the pixels will be larger.
More manufacturers are beginning to embrace USB-C technology and the benefits it offers, so it's interesting to see one of the biggest Android phone releases this year won't include the technology.
Yesterday the Galaxy S7 Edge was leaked out on the Samsung Indonesia page, showing off the new camera technology, waterproof design and wireless charging capabilities.
There's not long to go until we see the announcement of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and we just hope that Samsung has an extra surprise waiting up its sleeve.
