Huawei P9 dual cameras confirmed ahead of April 6 event

Huawei has already hinted at the arrival of the P9, but a brand new teaser from the Chinese manufacturer suggests its new flagship phone will feature twin rear cameras.

The teaser from China shows the P9 logo with camera sensors inside both the characters. This comes after Huawei announced a new partnership with camera specialists Leica, to include new sensor hardware in its phones.

Other rumored specs for the Huawei P9 include a 5.2-inch display as well as a 5MP front-facing camera, 32GB of storage, a Kirin 950 processor and 3GB of RAM.

We also expect Huawei to include Android 6 Marshmallow software on the phone as well as it's own Emotion UI over the top of it.

This latest reveal gives us a better idea what Huawei meant by #OO on its April 6 event invite. While some suggested it could be related to VR, it's now becoming clear the focus will be on the double camera setup on the back of the Huawei P9.
