The photo-sharing app keeps on getting bigger
Instagram will celebrate its fifth
anniversary on Oct. 6, but it’s already popping the champagne – the
popular photo app now has 400 million users.
“While milestones like this are important,
what really excites us is the way that visual communication makes the
world feel a little bit smaller to every one of us,” Instagram wrote in a blog post
Tuesday, announcing that more than 75% of its users were outside of the
U.S. “Among the last 100 million to join, more than half live in Europe
and Asia,” says Instagram.
Growth has been particularly high in Brazil, Japan and Indonesia.
Instagram reached 300 million users last December.
