The Nigeria Police Force has warned members of
the public against falling prey to activities of fraudsters on
recruitment into the force.
This is contained in statement issued by the Force Spokesperson,
Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Olabisi Kolawole, on Friday
in Abuja.
The statement said that many Nigerian youths, desirous of enlisting into the force, had been deceived by fraudsters into believing that recruitment was on.
“It has therefore become necessary once again to inform members of the public that no recruitment is taking place now at the force headquarters or at any of our institutions, commands and formations,“ it said.
It said that the force would inform the general public through appropriate channels of the time the exercise would begin.
The statement advised members of the public not to fall victim by making payments to fraudsters disguising on Facebook and other platforms as agents of the Police.
It also advised the public to contact the police public relations officers in their respective states or the divisional police officers nearest to them about the exercise and other police matters
