Possibly the biggest upgrade on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus was the inclusion of 3D Touch technology which allows for different pressure levels to do different things on the screen. Now it seems that technology is set for the next bunch of Samsung phones as well.
The latest rumour suggests the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come with a similar kind of technology as well as another Edge version with a curved screen
The report comes from The Wall Street Journal, quoting sources "familiar with the matter", which also claims the non-Edge version of the phone will come with microSD support, unlike the Galaxy S6.
Apply some pressure
Design-wise it's set to look much the same as the Galaxy S6 but won't come with the camera bump like the last phone did. Other rumours include a USB-C port, fast charging and even a retina scanner.
The Galaxy S5 was rumoured to come with a retina scanner, but nothing came of it.
The Wall Street Journal's report says the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be launching at Mobile World Congress in February ready for a March release.
However, previous reports have claimed the Galaxy S7 will come out earlier to miss the MWC rush though, so we wouldn't place bets on the release date just yet.
