Samsung Galaxy S7 leak shows it's just a modest upgrade on the S6

We're likely less than a month away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7, but it looks like the event may not hold many surprises, especially when it comes to the specs.

Endless leaks have painted a picture of what to expect and now we can add an internal presentation slide into the mix, which was sent to Phone Arena by an anonymous source, claiming to be a Samsung employee.

The slide shows the Samsung Galaxy S7, alongside the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S5, with a spec listing for each. If it's to be believed, the Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch 1440p screen, a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor, a 12MP BRITECELL camera and 4GB of RAM.

Galaxy S7

Nothing unusual here

All of those things have been rumoured before and aren't at all unbelievable, as they'd really only make for a modest upgrade over what we saw in the Galaxy S6.

The photo of the Samsung Galaxy S7 in the image is likely a placeholder, but it looks a lot like the Galaxy S6, which, as with everything else in this image, is what we're expecting.

So it's all very convincing. Having said that, while the S7 may well sport these specs that doesn't mean the slide itself is genuine. It could be, but it could just as easily have been knocked up in PowerPoint over the course of a boring lunch break, as there's nothing particularly hard to fake in it.

Take it for what it is then, but if nothing else it's one more piece of evidence pointing towards the likely shape of Samsung's next flagship.
