The latter turned out to be the real highlight with its cheaper price, 20MP camera and fun but durable design. It's one of the best cheaper phones you can buy right now, and networks from around the UK are all offering particularly good deals for the Moto X Play. This isn't the cheapest deal from Vodafone but it comes with a lot of internet and is worth the amount of money you're spending on it. As well as 10GB of data you also get unlimited calls and messages then there's a free phone to top it all off.The total 24 month cost is £768.

This is the cheapest possible deal to get the Moto X Play for free. It's only a little over twenty pounds a month so it's a good choice but you're limited to only 1GB of internet and 300 minutes a month. It's also on the ID network which isn't a big name so can scare some people off, but it is by far the cheapest deal over the two year period. Total cost of this contract over 24 months is £516.

Here's our favourite deal from Vodafone. It offers up a good amount of data with 2GB, unlimited calls and texts. Plus the phone is free, which always helps. Sadly there was cashback on this deal last month and now it's been dropped so it's not quite as good. Total cost over 24 months is £624.

Best Moto X Play deals from iD
The in-house network from Carphone Warehouse

ID is normally the network to go to for a cheap SIM only deal but it also offers deals on premium handsets. ID only has only got a few deals for the Moto X Play, but this one is a corker and is actually the cheapest we've found for 2GB of data this month. Total cost of this contract over 24 months is £564.

If you're looking for the cheapest deal around, this one from ID is probably the best choice for you. It's only a little over £20 a month and that's without having to pay for the phone upfront, so it's actually quite impressive. The network with extras like O2 Priority

Sadly O2 is only offering up a few deals for the Moto X Play this month so there's not all that much to choose from. This is our favourite though as you can get the phone for free at £31 a month with 3GB of data. The best bit is probably the free Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 16GB tablet in black that comes with it for free. Total cost over 24 months is £744.

So far there's no word on Three stocking the Moto X Play. We've reached out to the network to see when it'll be stocking it, but so far we haven't had a response about the best deals.
